Christmas tree should be manufactured in accordance with ISO 10423 (API spec.
6A ) – Specification for Well head and Christmas Tree Equipment or API spec
17D – Specification for Subsea Wellhead and Christmas Tree Equipment
The pressure rating of the tree should exceed the maximum expected wellhead
pressure including future reservoir treatment or injection.
The tree should be constructed of suitable materials, compatible with the chemical
composition of the reservoir fluids. For sour services, materials used should
conform to the requirement of standard ISO 15156 (NACE MR 0175) – Materials

injection well, gas injection well etc.
At Shorematter, we have trained personnel with good experience in inspection,
maintenance and testing of both surface and subsea Christmas trees in
accordance to the required specifications and standards.
Our QA/QC team have witnessed several function and pressure tests carried out
trees and various control systems including downhole safety valves (SCSSV,
DHSV, SSSV). We have equally been involved in witnessing function and
pressure testing of other subsea components such as CAT Tools, SFL, HFL,
EFL, risers and tubing hangers, IWOCS and RWOCS control systems.
